FAQs FOR YOU

The protein Alpha S1 Casein in cow’s milk can take the body longer to break down than goat’s milk. That’s why goat milk formula may be a better alternative to the tummy troubles associated with consuming cow’s milk.

Goat milk is the closest thing to a mother’s breast milk, according to nutrition experts around the world. It contains 13% more calcium, 25% more vitamin B-6, 47% more vitamin A, 134% more potassium, and 3 times more niacin than cow’s milk.

Our formula is made fresh, in small batches. We use the best quality ingredients in every order. And if your baby seems sensitive to any of our ingredients – email us! It’s likely the ingredient can be exchanged for another.

Also, commercial and name-brand formulas focus on dairy milk being the best for your growing child. The U.S.A. continues to advocate for cow’s dairy products, but the world is growing on goat's milk and milk alternatives because...pause for dramatic effect...cow’s dairy isn’t actually necessary.

“...there is plenty of evidence that it isn't necessary," says Marion Nestle, a professor at New York University teaching nutrition, food studies, and public health.

So we made our formula with goat’s milk.

Goat milk formula is very common around the world. In fact, all other goat milk formula brands are overseas – especially in Europe!

Supplemylk is the first goat milk formula made in the U.S.A., and we’re proud of that.

And as always, consult your pediatrician before changing to a different brand or product.

This formula contains coconut and lactose derived from goats. Coconut is a type of fruit known as a drupe — not a nut.  Despite this, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies coconut as a major tree nut allergen and parents should use their own discretion and the advice of their child’s pediatrician before consuming it.

Goat milk – like every natural milk – contains lactose, but many people who have a reaction to lactose still do not have the same reaction to goat milk.

This formula contains nuts and lactose. However, goat milk itself has hypoallergenic benefits. Studies have shown that goat milk is very low in Alpha S1 casein and primarily contains Alpha S2 casein. Studies also suggest that 40% or more of people allergic to cow’s milk can eat goat’s milk.

Unlike cow’s milk, goat’s milk does not separate if left to settle. So homogenization is not necessary.

At Supplemylk, we think it’s a good idea to take an organic daily multivitamin and probiotic alongside our formula. Follow the dosage indicated on your supplement label.

We recommend you consult your pediatrician before feeding your little ones additional supplements.

Goat milk has smaller size fat particles which produce a smaller and softer curd in the stomach. Small, soft curds are more rapidly broken down by the stomach enzymes which makes goat milk easily digestible.

We recommend using Supplemylk alongside your current routine. We’re made to support lactating moms or families who just need a little help feeding their little ones.

We also recommend feeding your crawler an organic infant multivitamin and infant probiotic alongside Supplemylk formula.

But of course, please don’t take anything without talking to your pediatrician first.

At Supplemylk, we hold high standards for our products. We’ve personally consulted nutritionists, pediatricians, and naturopathic doctors to make the best product for our babies and yours, too.

But you and your pediatrician know your baby best. Keep your village close – and think of us as a new member.
